History
AM Profiles
offers the most diverse and comprehensive range of
aluminium fenestrations in the UK. The business is the
leading supplier of aluminium timber composite window, door
and curtain wall products.
Established in
1984 the business has exhibited consistent growth in
turnover and profitability. In 2002 a new factory was
acquired to facilitate expansion and improve manufacturing
techniques. The business has continued to expand,
developing new innovative glazing systems and has continued
to win long term contracts via
specification.
The business
originally established a reputation as a manufacturer and
installer of aluminium PVC-U composite products to the
domestic market. Following the acquisition of a supplier in
1988 the company expanded into the design and sales of
composite and thermally improved aluminium profiles and
door kits.
Recognised the
potential in the commercial aluminium market the company
focused on the development of new products in order to
support penetration into the trade supply market.
ALARCLAD, the aluminium/PVC-U composite, was launched in
1988 followed by AMTHERM and ALARBOND, the latter being the
aluminium timber composite product for which AM Profiles is
now renowned.
Kaye Hinchliffe
Systems was procured in 2001 and this expanded AM Profiles’
product range into curtain walls, ground floor treatments
and polyamide systems.
The business is
located in a modern 54,000 square foot premises very close
to junction 29 of the M1. In recent years
considerable investment has been made in plant and
equipment and techniques such as ‘Lean Manufacturing’ are
now practiced.
