How the system works
A timber structure is designed to carry the dead and live loads of the facade. This structure will be designed to allow building movement and movement with temperature and humidity during seasonal variations. Any type of timber can be used which forms a long lasting structural assembly. A further benefit of using timber is its high insulation benefits.
A purpose made aluminium joint system enables easy construction on site with hidden fixings.

In order to form
a structural fixing for an aluminium pressure plate and to
form a rebate to carry glazing and/or window products an
aluminium 'T' section is fitted to the face of the timber
structure. Once the glazing has been 'stitch' plated into
place on all sides, continuos vertical pressure plates are
fixed to the structure retaining the glass whilst offering
a drained and ventilated facade.

Various designs
of cappings can be fixed to the pressure plates which
allows design freedom.
Further details on how the system can be configured is
available direct from AM Profiles technical department.
